SUMMARY:Winter Danga (Dance & Yoga) - End-of-year ritual
DESCRIPTION:“Aparigraha/ Non-attachment” \n\n\n\nGuided by Mylène \n\n\n\n“Aparigraha (non-attachment)”As the light dims a little more each day during these cold late autumn days\, perhaps a small “lamp” is lit within us. And invites us there\, within us. \n\n\n\nIn this December ritual\, the small lamp chosen to explore our journey through the evening will be “Aparigraha.” This is one of the founding ethical principles of yoga\, as presented in Patanjali’s seminal work\, the Yoga Sutras.Aparigraha invites us to reflect on the notion of non-attachment\, detachment\, renunciation\, and non-accumulation.This applies to possessions\, emotions\, goals…We are\, of course\, human and vibrant. It is not a question of turning ourselves into a blank slate. But through “Aparigraha\,” Yoga invites us to practice “letting go” and accepting change\, in order to invite a space of peace within ourselves. Welcome\, in Danga mode\, we will symbolically breathe out the year that is coming to an end together\, perhaps to make room for the year that will soon begin. \n\n\n\nDANGA (DANCE & YOGA) … What is it ? \n\n\n\nAn alternative method of teaching yoga developed by Mylène and accredited by the American Yoga Alliance in 2013.An extroverted way of practicing introspection.A way of thinking while exercising.A sense of humor and the sacred at the same table.Through multiple musical landscapes\, a reflective and dynamic journey serving the multi-angle exploration of a central theme\, using asanas\, pranayamas and danced pranayamas\, non-codified steps\, targeted improvisations\, sober sounds and powerful music.Constantly at work: A search for freedom through constraints (offered as levers for concentration). \n\n\n\nDANGA CLASS:Through multiple musical landscapes\, a multi-angle exploration of a central theme using asanas\, pranayamas\, and danced pranayamas\, codified steps and targeted improvisations\, sober sounds\, and powerful music.A workshop/lab sprinkled with yogic postures and swept by powerful dance movements. A reflective and dynamic journey where we knead our yoga practice\, propelling it between decibels and silence. Constantly at work: A search for freedom through constraints (offered as levers for concentration).Prerequisites: Open-minded individuals\, adventurous in exploring the connection between body and mind\, with a foundation in yoga and/or the ability to listen to your body when the pace of the class seems too fast or too slow! No dance experience required. (We will guide you and offer adaptations to the poses and exercises.) Welcome! \n\n\n\nPre-sale price (up to 7 days in advance): $30 regular | $22 student.

SUMMARY:Yoga & music
DESCRIPTION:Vinyasa & Yin theme on seasonal change \n\n\n\nBy Saulo Olmedo Evans and guided by Lucas Melo \n\n\n\nVinyasa & Yin Yoga class led by Lucas Melo and accompanied by percussionist Saulo Olmedo Evans\, who will play the tablas and ngoni. He now accompanies sitarists Christophe Cinq and Lionel Pezzano in Indian classical music concerts. This session\, inspired by the energy of autumn and the transition to winter\, invites you to harmonize movement\, breath\, and music. In Yin Yoga\, autumn corresponds to the Metal phase. It represents the ability to return to the essentials and let go\, while winter evokes the Water phase\, associated with introspection and rejuvenation. \n\n\n\nPrerequisite : no prior experience is required for this class.

SUMMARY:Autumn Danga (Dance & Yoga)
DESCRIPTION:“Breathe through your nose. And your feet.” Classic and danced pranayamas \n\n\n\nDDANGA (Dance & Yoga) … WHAT IS IT?An alternative method of teaching yoga developed by Mylène and accredited by the American Yoga Alliance in 2013.An extroverted way of practicing introspection.A practice where you think while exercising.A sense of humor and the sacred at the same table. Constantly at work: A search for freedom through constraints (offered as levers for concentration). \n\n\n\nBreathing is nothing less than our connection to life.It sets the pace for our days\, pulsing around 22\,000 times daily\, in and out… with beneficial reliability\, without us even having to pay attention to it*.And yet\, paying attention to it could help us become more acutely aware of how closely breathing and the nervous system are linked. This workshop will therefore focus on exploring the reciprocal action of breathing on the nervous system and vice versa.Translated with DeepL.com (free version) \n\n\n\nMechanically\, practically\, and artistically:-Initial observation: Personal natural breathing.-Exercises highlighting various basic functional mechanisms of breathing.-Practice of various pranayamas (yogic breathing techniques) that can be grounding\, calming\, or energizing.-“Dancing” the various breathing techniques. Incarnation of various breaths. In this autumn workshop\, a season known as “Vata” in Ayurveda (ancient Indian medicine)\, the season of wind\, air\, and space (ether)\, we will take care of the “wind” that circulates within us: our breath.*When we are not suffering from a condition requiring assistance.Prerequisites: Open-minded individuals who enjoy exploring the connection between body and mind. With a background in yoga and/or the ability to listen to your body when the pace of the class seems too fast or too slow! No dance experience required. We will support you with adaptations to the poses and exercises offered. Welcome!

SUMMARY:At the summit with Bolivia's cholitas escaladoras talk
DESCRIPTION:Screening of the documentary film “Cholitas\,” which recounts this group of women’s ascent to the summit of Aconcagua\, the highest mountain in the Americas. The film will be followed by a conference to discuss the initiative of these guardians of the mountain in greater detail and share Tanya Lecuyer’s experience of climbing Huayna Potosí (6\,088 m) alongside them last September. \n\nThe Cholitas escaladoras of Bolivia are Aymara women who love high-altitude sports. They have carved out a place for themselves in a predominantly male sector and are following their path as cooks and guides\, with the dream of telling their story to the world\, inspiring those around them\, and training more women to become mountain guides. They carry messages of women’s empowerment and mountain protection to the highest peaks. \n\nCette activité s’inscrit dans le cadre d’une levée de fonds pour les appuyer: il sera possible de faire un don\, et Tanya viendra également avec de l’artisanat qu’elles ont fabriqué qui sera en vente.

This discipline helped him believe in change as he immigrated from Brazil to start a brand new life in Montreal. Eager to deepen his practice\, he earned his yoga teacher training certification in 2023 under the guidance of François Lacerte. \n\n\n\n\n\nAgathe • Organizer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPassionate about outdoor activities\, Agathe has been hiking and climbing for several years. Yoga became an obvious choice for her during the COVID period\, allowing her to cultivate inner balance while maintaining good physical condition. \n\n\n\nArriving in Quebec in 2024\, she quickly joined the Zero Gravité team with enthusiasm\, where she now serves as the communications and activities manager. \n\n\n\n\n\nEmilie • Massage therapist\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCertified in Kinetic® Swedish massage since September 2020 and trained in deep tissue massage\, Emilie offers a biomechanics-focused massage therapy approach. Her method is holistic\, combining empathy and energy\, always respecting each individual’s boundaries and personal space. Convinced of the strong connection between body and mind\, she found further confirmation of this belief during her yoga teacher training. \n\n\n\nShe believes that the benefits of massage are numerous: relieving the body of tension and restrictions\, improving mobility\, and promoting reconnection with sensations. Passionate about climbing\, she has a solid understanding of the specific needs associated with this practice. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPasse-Montagne Climbing School\n\n\n\nPasse-Montagne is a climbing school located in Val-David in the Laurentians since 1981.
