Digestion. Breathing. Mobility. Powerful music. Danced introspection focusing on the concept of \u201ccenter.\u201d<br\/>This \u201cannual spring event\u201d dedicated to the belly presents several practices aimed at invigorating, kneading, toning, and softening it.<br\/>But since we are in Danga mode, the symbolic and metaphorical aspects of the belly are also addressed and explored. This takes the form of targeted dance improvisations.<br\/>It&#8217;s a matter of \u201creflecting\u201d differently&#8230;<br\/>This year, the concept of \u201ccenter\u201d evoked by the belly will be approached from the perspective of Ahamkara, a Sanskrit word that can be translated as \u201ccreator of the self\u201d or \u201cego.\u201d<br\/>A notion that is as potentially structuring as it is \u201cmisleading\u201d in terms of the meaning of self!      <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coming up Friday, April 10, on the path of breath, pulsed and danced <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>***<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DANGA (DANCE &amp; YOGA) \u2026 What is it ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An alternative method of teaching yoga developed by Myl\u00e8ne and accredited by the American Yoga Alliance in 2013.<br\/>A practice where you think while exercising.<br\/>A sense of humor and sacredness at the same table.<br\/>An alternative training method, coupled with an extroverted way of practicing introspection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DANGA CLASS:<br\/>Multi-angle exploration of a singular theme, using asanas, pranayamas, and danced pranayamas, non-codified steps, targeted improvisations, sober sounds, and powerful music, all in dialogue with the central theme of the evening.<br\/>*<br\/>Through multiple musical landscapes, a reflective and dynamic journey exploring a central theme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A workshop\/lab strewn with yogic postures, and swept by great dance winds. We mix our yoga practice by propelling it between decibels and silence. Constantly at work: A search for freedom through constraints (offered as levers for concentration).<br\/>*<br\/>WELCOME!<br\/>Come and knead, tone, and soften your bellies through yoga and dance.<br\/>Specific breathing and postures, sequences that tone the deep layers of the abdominal muscles, exercises that aid digestion, and targeted dance improvisations that invite you to reflect on the broader concept of CENTER for yourself.<br\/>***<br\/>The belly is at the center of our body. We all have a very intimate relationship with it. So many organs are housed there, so many layers of muscle cover it! Connecting the lower and upper parts of our frame, we want it to be as supple and mobile as it is toned.<br\/>We also hope to feel good in our belly.<br\/>We&#8217;ll be focusing on this on April 10!
