During this talk, Nathalie Fortin will share her experiences on various mountains around the world (Alaska, South America, France, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Pakistan, the Canadian Rockies, and Russia). She will discuss the unique challenges of climbing mountains at different altitudes, including the effects on the body, preparation, learning experiences, and more.
The two extremes of our sport come together: the most adventurous disciplines and techniques meet indoor climbing. Activities inspired by big wall climbing, winter ascents, mountaineering, and competitive dry-tooling will be on the agenda.

We will explore and break down each position to better understand their alignment and the sensations to focus on. The following postures will be covered: the Curse Pose (Shapasana), Bird of Paradise (Svarga Dvidasana), various variations of Crow Pose (Kakasana), and One-Arm Balance (Eka Hasta Bhujasana). This approach is ideal for those looking to enrich their practice, master complex postures while recovering gently, and be able to integrate these practices into their daily life independently.
