A spring workshop : abs and core
The stomach is at the center of the territory of our body. We all have a strong intimate relationship with it. A space lined with multiple layers of muscles and housing important organs, a tonic link connecting the bottom and the top of us, promoting vitality, power, balance, digestion, breathing, sensation, and access to a well alive “core” – nucleus.
Through various musical landscapes, the workshop’s journey will alternate between:
- Fluid and structuring yoga sequences targeting the abdominal area
- Targeted dance improvisations, inviting us to experience different aspects of ourselves, linked as much to our physical abdomen as to the metaphorical and vital notion of what is “center” for oneself.
- A tonic training aiming at the different layers of core muscles
Objective : strengthening the fibers without losing mobility
Tonic and fluid, aligned and swaying. Athletic (for everyone!) and candidly philosophical. Sometimes driven by our breaths, sometimes pulsating to loud music that scratches the depths.
*The Danga approach presents an extraverted way of practicing introspection.
