DANGA (DANCE & YOGA)… WHAT is it?
Alternative method of teaching Yoga developed by Mylène and accredited by the American Yoga Alliance in 2013
- Practice where we think while spending ourselves.
- Sense of humor and sacredness at the same table.
- Alternative training mode, coupled with an extroverted way of practicing introspection.
- A musical journey as a bridge towards various landscapes carrying emotion (perhaps…).
- Presence in breathing as a muse extending a pole of breath towards the silence within itself.
DANGA CLASS:
Multi-angle exploration of a singular theme, using asanas, pranayamas and danced pranayamas, codified steps, targeted improvisations, sober sounds and muscular music, all in dialogue with the central subject of the evening.
Through multiple musical landscapes, a reflective and moving journey serving the exploration of a central theme. A workshop/lab strewn with yogic postures, and swept by great dance winds. We mix our yoga practice by propelling it between decibels and silence. Constantly at work: A search for freedom through constraints (offered as levers for concentration).
THE THEME : « 6 saisons de soi »
While on these cold days of late autumn, the light dims a little more every day, perhaps a little “lamp” is lit within itself. And invites us there, within us.
In this December ritual, we will turn our rearview mirror towards the journey of this year which is coming to an end and which we will name here:
« 6 saisons de soi ».
For this, we will draw inspiration from the wise way that the Atikamekw Nation views the seasons of this territory, by appropriately adding a pre-spring and a pre-winter to the 4 seasons here usually named.
It is thus in this “pre-winter” (Pitcipon), that I invite you to this end-of-year workshop, the entire course of which will be anchored to Nature, proposed as a mirror of oneself.
A guided journey through metaphors of us overlapping sorrows, joys, rages and jolts of resilience… like so many great winds, melting, budding, flowering, stripping, great cold, white deserts, endless rains, scorching heat, mourning and rebirth .
…In Danga mode, we will symbolically expire together the year that is ending, to better make way
Welcome!
