Danga du Printemps – guidé par Mylène
April 25 @ 19:30 – 21:30
The stomach is at the center of the territory of our body. We all have a strong and intimate relationship with it. Let’s take the time to pause and reflect on it. Through multiple musical landscapes, a journey encompassing structured yogic and somatic practices, along with targeted dance improvisations,
an invitation to experiment with different notions and sensations, related both to our physical belly (toning, digestion, breathing) and the metaphorical and vital notion of what is “center” for oneself.
Program :
- Fluid and structuring yogic sequences targeting the abdominal belt.
- Tonic training targeting the various muscle layers of the belly core.
- Breathing sequences mobilizing various abdominal muscles in addition to the diaphragm.
- Targeted dance improvisations inviting us to explore different aspects of ourselves, both related to our physical core-center and a symbolic and personal notion of an intimate, living center.
Prerequisites: Ability to listen to your limits (even if adaptations are always offered) + ear opening (soft or abrasive musical repertoire, occasionally loud volume).
Other information: Refrain if you have an inguinal hernia or are pregnant.
The Danga approach:
The Danga approach presents an extroverted way of practicing introspection. An alternative way of approaching Yoga teachings. A tonic and fluid experience, aligned and swaying, athletic (for everyone) and candidly philosophical.
Sometimes rhythmically guided by our breaths surfing the silence, sometimes pulsing to loud music that scratches the depths of our being.
A sense of humor and the sacred at the same table.
