Conférence causerie avec Jacques Lamontagne

June 13 @ 19:30 21:30

Quebec’s finest climbing routes – Les 50 Classiques de Lamontagne

Jacques Lamontagne is one of Quebec’s climbing pioneers, with over 50 years’ experience and thousands of metres of new routes opened across the province.

His greatest achievements were on the famous Cap Trinité, where he opened no fewer than 4 routes. He also made the first solo ascent of the famous “Les Grands Galets” route.

You’ve heard of “La Tache Blanche”, “Fox Victor India” or “Chinook”? Well, he’s also been an opener on these routes, renowned for their beauty and commitment.
During the conference, he’ll share with you, in images and words, some of his sometimes comical, but always captivating, adventures on Quebec’s rock faces during the ’70s and ’80s. Of course, he’ll also talk about his brand-new guidebook 50 Classiques de Lamontagne / Les plus belles grandes voies d’escalade au Québec!
