This year’s program highlights the resilience and creativity of individuals facing challenges both from the outside world and their own inner landscapes.
We are thrilled to present a program that brings together incredible stories of courage, adventure, and self-discovery. These films embody the spirit of perseverance and the strength of women in the outdoors to inspire, entertain, and spark important conversations.
La programmation du WAFT 2025 :
This year’s program includes a diverse range of films that explore the physical, emotional, and personal journeys of athletes and adventurers.
Sliding takes viewers into the world of skeleton luge, capturing the intense precision and adrenaline of the sport.
Cycling the World follows a woman’s multi-year journey across five continents, 28 countries, and 29,000 kilometers, offering a powerful reflection on both the outdoor adventure and inner transformation.
It Will Be Different For You is a portrait of Olympian Lea Davison, reflecting on her lifelong relationship with mountain biking and the personal struggles and triumphs that have shaped her journey.
In Above Sinai, Egyptian kitesurfer Sarah Sadek challenges cultural expectations and empowers her community, while questioning norms and embracing her passion for the sport.
Drawn In tells the story of Jessa Gilbert, a wilderness guide and visual artist, whose creative process blends the exploration of icy terrains with the art of painting, revealing the common spirit of adventure and creativity in both disciplines.
Finally, Dropping Molly follows the tumultuous journey of Molly Mitchell as she attempts to climb “Crank-it,” one of Colorado’s most dangerous routes. After a devastating fall during the climb, Molly must confront her mental health struggles and embark on a path of therapy, self-discovery, and growth. Dropping Molly is an unforgettable, heart-wrenching, humorous, and comforting film. You will be on the edge of your seat as Molly questions why climbers take risks for a climb, if it’s worth it, and whether she will return to the route that broke her back.
